Good to know

What’s here and what isn’t yet

Thanks for cooking with TableFare early. Here’s what you can try today, what’s still being built, and how to tell us how it goes.

Try these

  • Add a recipe your way: type it in, tell it in your own words, paste a link, take a photo of a cookbook page, or start from an idea.
  • Browse Recipes, save the ones you want to make, and rate the ones you’ve cooked.
  • Ask AI to change a recipe, then save it as your own version.
  • Put dishes together as a meal, each with its own servings, and adapt the meal for people who eat differently.
  • Take a photo of your fridge and get dinner ideas from what you have.
  • Make a grocery list from a recipe or a meal. Your household staples are marked as things you probably have.
  • Cook a recipe or a whole meal, with the steps lined up so the dishes finish together, timers, and help at the step you’re on.
  • Share a recipe with a link.

Not here yet

  • Plans for the week, leftovers that carry into another meal, and a grocery list that keeps up across your plans.
  • Sharing a whole meal.
  • More than one account in a household.
  • Nutrition and macros.
  • An app to install, and notifications. TableFare runs in your phone’s browser.
  • Billing. Your account is complimentary while you test.
  • AI help has a monthly limit set well above everyday cooking. If you reach it, it comes back on the 1st.

Timers and your screen

  • While you cook, TableFare keeps your screen on where your browser allows it. The cooking page says whether it’s on.
  • Timers keep counting if your phone locks or you switch apps, but they can’t ring until you come back to TableFare. For anything you can’t miss, keep the page open and the screen on.
  • After a reload, tap the page once so timers can make a sound.
  • Android phones vibrate when a timer ends. iPhones don’t let websites vibrate, and on silent you may not hear the sound. The banner on the page still shows.
  • A timer is a reminder, not a doneness check. Thicker pieces may take longer.

Tell us how it goes

  • Send feedback is at the bottom of the menu. Add up to three screenshots if they help.
  • Report a problem on a recipe, a meal or while cooking, and we’ll see which one you were on.
  • Your recipes stay private to your household unless you share or publish one. You can download your data or delete your account from Your account.
